Silver Paws is a veterinary assistance program intended to help low-income seniors with health care for their animal companions. The program is available to qualifying seniors (60+) who are residents of Rohnert Park and Cotati. Funds can be used for veterinary expenses that are beyond the limits of their income, including, but not limited to: office procedures, annual wellness checks, dentals, diagnostics, and surgery. The program does not provide emergency treatments or ongoing care or medications for an animal suffering from a chronic illness.
- Approval must be granted prior to services being rendered. We cannot reimburse for vet care already provided.
- Must have proof of residency in Rohnert Park or Cotati (city limits).
- Must have proof of low-income (explained on application)
Applications are available at the Rohnert Park Animal Shelter and at participating veterinary clinics or online here and must be turned in or mailed to the Rohnert Park Animal Shelter. Address your envelope to: ASL, 301 J. Rogers Lane, Rohnert Park, CA 94928.
